After an in-person consultation with Dr. Schalch Lepe, during which you discuss your condition, your lifestyle, your circumstances, and your goals, Dr. Schalch Lepe will perform:

  • A comprehensive head and neck examination
  • Endoscopic imaging and assessment of the airways
  • Imaging review
  • Setting up an at-home sleep diagnostic test (if necessary)

Dr. Schalch Lepe is always conscious of the importance of his patient’s time, so he and his team strive for efficiency while ensuring thoroughness and comprehensive service.

At-Home Sleep Testing

In some cases, mainly where sleep conditions, snoring, or suspected sleep apnea is concerned, Dr. Schalch Lepe might recommend an at-home sleep test

This test is done using a WatchPATOne device. The device attaches to three different points on your body while you sleep and measures:

  • Heart rate
  • Oxygen levels
  • Body position
  • Snoring
  • Sleep stages and true sleep time
  • Presence of central sleep apnea

Then, during your follow-up consultation, Dr. Schalch Lepe downloads your sleep diagnostic test results from the WatchPAT device, and you’ll examine your sleeping habits and patterns together.

The readouts from this test will reveal what type of sleeping ailment you’re suffering from and will inform the following steps to take.
